A trip to Ikea

I'm in northern Georgia for awhile, doing routine medical stuff & hanging out.

I finally made it down to Atlanta and we went to Ikea.  My wife had never been there before.  Ikea is an interesting place.
I am a fan of their beds.

So many ideas for living in a small space, some will work in an RV or a van.  I bought a futon mattress for the van, the mattress was around $80
The futon itself just didn't fit, it was too tall over the wheel well.

The futon & mattress can be bought by themselves
For lunch we went to The Varsity
I'd heard about the Varsity on TV,  I don't recall which show.

Outside

As I've heard of interesting places to eat around the country that I'd like to visit I write them down and put them on a map I look at before I go somewhere new.

I liked this place, it's not worth driving across the country to get a chili dog there but it was good. Great onion rings (really good!) & french fries.

Just wait until I make it to Philadelphia,

  1. I lived in western Pennsylvania for over 30 years and never made it to Philadelphia to try their cheese steak sandwiches.

  2. I really enjoyed shopping in Ikea when I lived in Houston. Actually not shopping but looking around and seeing how they furnished small spaces, lots of great ideas.

I hope to one day try an authentic Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich.

    1. Ikea had some really great ideas if you're into small living.

  3. Happy trails. If you get up Kentucky wise try Willow Pond - great catfish.

  4. I lived across the street from an Ikea for awhile. It was a mad house, I'd be happy never setting foot in one again but they have such great stuff and the cheap food in the cafeteria is a nice treat. I'd take a Philly cheese steak over Ikea food any day though.

    1. Ikea for me is a place I go when I'm looking for something and it's usually a good distance away. I did try a paper cup of their meatballs, they were good. Maybe if I lived next door I'd stop in for lunch too.
I have gone to Costco just for lunch :-)
